On Wednesday, English PEN posted about a new opportunity from the Stephen Spender Trust and Free Word, which is offering a “training programme for translators who are keen to gain experience of working in a school environment, sharing translation skills with young people”:
Translators in Schools is a training programme that aims to widen the pool of translators with the skills to work in schools.
A day of workshops covering translation activities, lesson planning and classroom management will be held on Tuesday 26 November 2013 at the Free Word Centre, 60 Farringdon Road, London EC1. The deadline for applications is Monday 14 October and applicants will be informed whether they have been successful by Friday 18 October.
